Full English Breakfast

Full English Breakfast, Full Irish Breakfast

To many British and Irish folk, this is simply the finest breakfast known to mankind! We highly recommended this meal for a fabulous family brunch coupled with a nice pot of tea, and possibly followed by a long walk.

Serves 3-4

Ingredients:

  • 6 Traditional Pork Bangers
  • 6 Back-Bacon Rashers
  • 6 slices Black Pudding
  • 6 slices White Pudding
  • 6 Eggs
  • 3 Tomatoes, halved
  • Mushrooms
  • 1 or 2 Tins of Baked Beans
  • 6 Slices Toast

Cooking Directions:

Drizzle a little oil into a frying pan, and start cooking the bangers slowly on medium heat. Continue cooking until they are a crisp, golden brown and the centers are no longer pink.

Add the bacon into a second pan with a little cooking oil, and cook until desired crispiness. Please note that in the UK and Ireland it is customary to lightly brown our bacon, rather than thoroughly crisping it, as it is much leaner than typical American bacon.

In a separate pan, cook the black pudding and white pudding in a little oil for three to four minutes on each side. Prepare the baked beans, mushrooms, tomato halves and eggs to your liking.

Serve all together on a plate, and complement with a slice or two of toast, some HP sauce or ketchup and a warm mug of Breakfast Tea.
